Kuwaitis celebrate Eid Al-Ghadeer

KUWAIT CITY: Marking the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Ghadeer that falls on 18th day of Dhul-Hejjah, the 12th month of Islamic calendar, Kuwait witnessed grand celebrations.

Throngs of lovers of Ahlul Bayt with joy overflowing them attended massive gatherings, organized by different organizations and associations at mosques and husseiniyaat across the country.

Sweats were distributed, special feasts were arranged and buildings were decorated.

Speakers highlighted the greatness and rich significance of the day of Eid Al-Ghadeer when the holy prophet (peace of Allah be on him & his pure progeny) by the command of Allah announced the wilayah (mastership) of Imam Ali (peace of Allah be on him) according to the traditions of both Khassah and Ammah.

Jamay Al-Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) hosted a program with attendance of a large number of faithful and religious scholars to mark the eid.

Sheikh Hussein As-Sanad delivered a speech on the topic of Eid Al-Ghadeer. Earlier, eulogists presented eulogies in praise of Amer Al-Mominin Imam Ali bin Abi Taleb (peace of Allah be on them) after the opening of the program with recitation of holy Quran.
