Ahlul Bayt Association stresses significance of Muharram

MANAMA, Bahrain: Marking the beginning of Muharram-ul-Haram, Ahlul Bayt Association of Bahrain has issued a message highlighting the importance and significance of the month.

The Association urged the need of reviving the Karbala tragedy through majalis wa mawakib azaiyah, or the mourning gatherings and processions.

Muharram is that month during which the beloved grandson of Chief of Prophets Prophet Muhahmmad (P), Chief of Martyrs Al-Imam Al-Hosayn (p) gave such sacrifice in the plain of Karbala, Iraq, along with his near and dear ones which is unparallel in the human history.

The ABA further said that as Imam Hosayn (p)’s sacrifice was for Islam therefore these days during which we commemorate the martyrdom of Al-Imam Al-Hosayn (p) are ‘Ayyamillah’, or the ‘Days Of Allah’ abouit which Quran says ‘Wa Zakkirhum Bay Ayyamillah (and remind them of Days of Allah).’
