Iranians performing Marasim-e-Azadari with fervor

HOLY CITY OF MASH’HAD, Iran: Marasim-e-Azadari were continued throughout Islamic Republic of Iran to mourn the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussein (AS) along with his 72 companions in 61 AH.

Groups of mourners, chanters of dirges, chest beaters from different parts of the country are coming to the holy shrines of Hazrat Imam Ali bin Moussa Ar-Reza (AS) in the holy city of Mash’had, Hazrat Faytimeh Al-Masoumah (SA) in the holy city of Qom and tombs of a number of Imam-zadehs in Mash’had and Qom.

Among these tombs of Imam-zadehs are Imam-zadeh Ibrahim progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Ahmed progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Raza progeny of Imam Zainul Abidin (AS), Imam-zadeh Raza Jafar progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Sayed Ali progeny of Imam Ali Al-Morteza (AS), Imam-zadeh Ahmed progeny of Imam As-Sadiq (AS), Imam-zadeh Masoom Ali progeny of Imam Zainul Abidin (AS), Imam-zadeh Shah Jafar progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Ali Raza progeny of Imam Zainul Abidin (AS), Imam-zadeh Nasiruddin progeny of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba (AS), Imam-zadeh Ismail progeny of Imam As-Sadiq (AS), Imam-zadeh Hamzeh progeny of Imam As-Sadiq (AS), Imam-zadeh Abu Jafar & Imam-zadeh Ahmed progeny of Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS), Imam-zadeh Sayed Jamaluddin progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Haadi progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Ahmed progeny of Imam Ali Al-Morteza (AS), Imam-zadeh Sayed Abdul Aziz progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS),

Imam-zadeh Sayed Subhan & Bibi Sanobar progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Sayed Muhammad Alvi progeny of Imam Moussa Al-Kazim (AS), Imam-zadeh Yahya progeny of Imam Zainul Abidin (AS) and many other Imam-zadeh’s tombs.

Black mourning banners have been placed in mosques, hussainiyaat, shrines and takayeh of Imam-Zadgan where Majalis are going on day and night attended by throngs of black-dressed mourners with their eyes shedding tears after tears to offer condolences to prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) and his family (AS).
