Hosayni mourning, Zangir-zani in Sayyedah Zaynab (p)’s city

DAMASCUS, Syria: Hosayny mourners are observing the mourning of Imam Hosayn Ibn-e-Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (a.s.) across Syria to mark the tragic event of Karbala.

Followers of Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) hold daily Majalis-e-Hosayni at different Hussainiyaat in different parts of the country as well as at the holy shrine of Sayyedah Zaynab bint-e-Ali (a.s.) in Damascus, Syrian capital commemorating martyrdom of The Lord of Martyrs Imam Hosayn (a.s.) along with his 72 near and dear ones in the plain of Karbala for the elevation of the exalted name of Allah and save the religion of his grandfather Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.).

An Ashra-e-Majalis program Muharram 1–10 is being held at Sayyedah Zaynab Hosayniah Pakistania, Damascus under the auspices of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya (TNFJ) Syria branch.

Speaker Maskeen Ali Sargany as well as many other renowned speakers address. On 10th of Muharram, a Zulginah procession will be brought out from the hosayniah that will culminate at the holy shrine of Sayyedah Zaynab (a.s.) after Zangirzani (hitting back with knives) and Qama Zani (hitting head with swords) in front of the holy mausoleum.

On Ashoora – 10th of Muharram, a procession with Zuljinah and Alam is scheduled to be taken out from the Hussainiya. Zanjir-Zani will also be performed.

Meanwhile, Allamah Sheikh Hasan As-Saffar (Saudi Arabia) addresses daily Majalis al-Aza at Hosayniyah al-Hawza al-Ilmiya az-Zaynabiya, Damascus.
