Hosayni commemoration touches climax in Karbala

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Despite the use of every tactic by despotic regime of Saddam to extinguish the love of the nation for the progeny of Chief of Prophets Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him & his pure progeny), the love for Hosayn as well as his commemoration and observation of Sha’aer al-Hosayniyah have increased much more.

Hosayni commemoration is on climax in the holy city of Karbala with freedom, after 35 years during which such practices were banned.

Holding big banners and grand flags inscribed with statements by al-Imam al-Hosayn (as) as well as ‘Ya Hosayn’, thousands of caravans have reached the holy city where the tragic event took place in 61 A.H. and today which houses the holy shrines of al-Imam al-Hosayn (as) and his brother and commander of his army Hazrat al-Abbas (as).
