Muslims protest on notorious Rushdi’s visit to India By: Irfan Malik MUMBAI, India: Indian Muslims have strongly protested on the arrival in Mumbai of notorious writer Salman Rushdi who committed libel and slander of the Chief of Prophets, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace of Allah be on him & his pure progeny). Rushdi is on a visit to Mumbai and is kept in strong security. Muslims have sent letters to Mumbai Chief Minister expressing their anger. They voiced their disappointment over the government’s anti-Muslim policy. Salman Rushdi was condemned to death by the founder of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini (late) on February 14,1989, after publishing of his book SATANIC VERSES. Since the religious decree, Rushdi has shunned publicity and forced into hiding. His book SATANIC VERSES was banned in many countries including India and South Africa and burned on streets. END |
