H-Kashmir: India disallows Kashmiris for hajj trip By: A. A. Rathor HELD SRINAGAR, Held Kashmir: At least 41 Kashmiri Muslims including one of their leaders have been denied permission in Indian-occupied Kashmir to travel to Saudi Arabia for performance of the annual hajj pilgrimage. Speaking on condition of anonymity, a government official told Friday that Mujahideen would not be allowed to go on the hajj. Syed Ali Geelani had applied to the government of Held Kashmir for permission to go on the holy trip to the holy city of Mecca with his wife. The official said: “As of today, the government has decided he (Geelani) will not be allowed to proceed for the hajj,” adding that the applications of 40 others most of them linked to Mujahideen parties had also been rejected.
