Qom scholars: Terrorist groups have no link with Islam By: Sheikh Muhammad Khurasani HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Renowned religious scholars and grand educators in the holy city of Qom – home to the holy mausoleum of Hazret-e-Seyedeh Fatimeh Masoumeh (p), the daughter of Hazret-e-Imam Mousa-e-Kazim (p) – have strongly condemned terrorism being committed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and other countries by terrorist groups using the name of Islam. A statement issued here said: “The oppressive terrorist groups involved in activities that raise disgust and hatred against Muslims in the world serve the enemies of Islam, as these oppressive groups provided pretexts and justifications to the powers hostile to Islam so that they launch a psychological war against Islam and Muslims.” “All that is going on in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world at the hands of those who call themselves Mujahideen have no link with Islam,” the statement added. “Where and when it has been said in Islam that beheading people, destroying homes, car bombings, killings of innocents and civilians is lawful?!” the scholars asked making clear that such brutal activities are condemned by Islam as it is the religion of peace, love and affection and teaches lessons of promoting harmony and tranquility.
