He noted that so far the performance of the new Majlis has been good citing cooperation between all ministries and levels of government as exemplary. He also asked for a particular attention to the problems of Qom. At the beginning of the visit, the Speaker offered the report of performance of MPs during this duration and said: “We believe that the Seventh Parliament is a valuable opportunity for Islam and Revolution in a bid to realize the objectives of the revolution and orders of the Late Ayatullah Khomeini.” Ayatullah Nuri Hamdani said that people expect their deputies to address their needs; therefore the deputies must find solutions to these problems. Ayatullah Fazel Lankarani said that the best and firmest laws are those based on Islamic principles that consider the needs of citizens from all walks of life.
