Imam Askari (p) B-Day celebrations report from Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria: Birth Anniversary of eleventh successor of holy Prophet (peace be on him & his pure progeny), Al-Imam Al-Hasan Al-Askaree (peace be on him), was celebrated in Syria on 10th of Rabee-os-Sanee with great devotion.

Special functions and gatherings were held at shrines, mosques and husseiniyaat to mark the auspicious occasion.

In Damascus, multitudes of followers of Ahlul Bayt (peace be on them) visited the holy mausoleums of Sayyedah Zeinab, the daughter of Al-Imam Ali (peace be on them), and Sayyedah Sakinah, daughter of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (peace be on them). Holding festive gatherings there at the shrines, people felicitated the holy personalities of holy Prophet (peace be on him & his pure progeny)’s family on the auspicious occasion.

Office of Ayatullah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Ash-Shirazi organized a gathering at Hawzah Ilmiyah Zeinabiyah in the capital, Damascus. Large number of people including religious scholars attended the program that began with recitation of holy Quran.

Sheikh Jalal Ma’ash in his address threw light on the pious life of Al-Imam Al-Askaree (peace be on him). He also condemned US-forces atrocities in Iraq against innocent Iraqi people. Eulogies were recited to perfume the occasion.
