Kuwaitis mark Imam Zayn Al-Abidin (p)’s martyrdom

KUWAIT CITY: Martyrdom anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (p)’s fourth infallible successor Al-Imam Ali bin Al-Hussein Zayn Al-Abideen (p) was marked in Kuwait on Muharram 25 with grand commemorative programs.

Different organizations and bodies organized at mosques and husseiniyat the mourning programs attended by crowds of mourners. The speakers threw light on the role played by Al-Imam As-Sajjad (p) after the martyrdom of his father Al-Imam Al-Husssein (p) in the tragic incident of Karbala.

Addressing a majlis Al-aza at husseiniyah Muslim bin Aqil (p) in Salwa, Sheikh Fadhil Al-Maliki said that the Imam (p) spent his life in spreading the message of husseiniyat (p).

At husseiniyah Al-Bohrah Al-Hindia, Ash-Sheikh Shabbir Nomani addressed on the great status of Ahlul Bayt (p) as well as their matchless role in protecting Islam. He said Al-Imam As-Sajjad (p) completed the mission of his father Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p), the Chief of Martyrs and Master of Youths of Heaven.

As-Sayid Mahmoud Al-Husseini addressed at husseiniyah Jafaria. He spoke on the kinds of weeping giving examples of Prophet Adam (p), Prophet Jacob (p) and the Mistress of Ladies of Heaven Sayidah Fatimah Zahraa (p), the daughter of holy Propjet Muhammad (p). He termed weeping a weapon to defend truth.

Majalis were also held at husseiniyah Bu-Hamd, husseiniyah Al-Imam Mousa Al-Kadhim (p) and many others.
