Anti-US, -Israel demos express solidarity with Pals

CAIRO, Egypt: Grand protest rallies and demonstrations were held on Friday in different parts of world against the recent assassination of Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin by Israeli gunships in the Gaza Strip.

Several thousand protestors, chanting anti-Israel and anti-US slogans, marched on the streets after Friday prayers. In many countries, Israeli and American flags as well as effigies of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon were torched in a show of hatred.

Such protests were witnessed in Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, India and many other countries.
