Hussaini mourning persists in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan: In remembrance of the unparalleled sacrifice presented by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) along with his offspring and companions in Karbala to defend Muhammadan Shariah and dignity of humanity, the mourning programs are in continuance in Afghanistan.
On Monday, a mourning procession was brought out in the capital city of Kabul. Wearing black mourning dress, the participants offered Noha-Khawani and performed matam to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
Afghans wept, cried and shed blood to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala. Niyaz of Imam Hussain (as) was served.
