Karbala women pay homage to Master of Martyrs (p) By: Ismail Zabeeh HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Iraqi women took out a silent mourning procession in the holy city of Karbala to honor the supreme sacrifices submitted by the Chief of Martyrs along with his 72 companions for the safety of lofty Islamic principles. The procession on 9th day of Muharram was attended by large number of women belonging to all layers of society. They were holding banners inscribed with statements of condolence to Imam Al-Asr (peace be on him and may Allah hasten his reappearance) on the martyrdom of his grandfather Abi Abdellah Al-Hussein (peace be on him).
