Non-Muslims also attend Majalis Al-Hussein in Los Angeles By: Faez Karimi
LOS ANGELES: In commemoration of the tragedy of Karbala, Majalis Al-Hussein (peace be on him) were held in Los Angeles, California. Large number of people, Muslims and non-Muslims, attended the majalis program that were organized at Al-Imam As-Sadeq (Peace be on him) Foundation.
Majalis Al-Hussein were held in three languages – English, Arabic and Persian. Ayatullah Sayyed Morteza Al-Mosawi Al-Qazwini addressed the majalis and spoke on the meanings of Ashouraa and objectives of revolution of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (Peace be on him).
Majalis were also addressed by Ayatullah Dr Sayyed Fadhil Al-Milani who during his speeches threw light on the seerah, advices and sufferings of Ahlul Bayt, or the progeny of holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be on them). He also spoke on the significance of performing Sha’a’er Abi Abdella Al-Hussein (Peace be on him). Husseini elegy-chanter Al-Haj Al-Attar Al-Kerbalayi recited elegies. END |
