Ayat Shirazi condemns aggression on Haideri shrine

HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Ayatullah Sayyid Sadiq Al-Husseini Ash-Shirazi has condemned desecration of holy mausoleum of Imam-ol-Mottaqeen Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Taleb (peace be on him) in the holy city of Najaf.

In a statement beginning with the Quranic verse ‘inna lillahi wa inna I’layhi raj’oon’ (we are for Allah and we have to return to Him) on Tuesday, the Ayatullah denounced the aggression at the sacred Haideri shrine. He demanded prevention of such violation without a repetition, and prayed Allah to remove this difficulty from this nation.

On Tuesday, the holy shrine suffered damage during clashes between US forces and Moqtada As-Sadr’s mehdi militia.
