Syed Moosavi declares ‘Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed’ By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Agha Syed Hamid Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan has announced to observe Youm-ul-Quds Himayat Mazloomin (Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed) throughout the country like other global parts on Last Friday of Ramazan-ul-Mubarik that falls on 28 of the fasting month. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said unfortunately Muslims the world over are confronted with test of the time that Bait-ul-Moqaddas, the honour and dignity of which is recognised not only by the Islamic World but also by the whole world of humanity, is being desecrated for quite long but the OIC is keeping a criminal silence over it. Agha Moosavi said Palestinians and Kashmiris are presenting the sacrifice of their life for the independence and freedom for the last half century and oppressed and Muslim people in many countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Philippines, Thailand, and Chechnya were struggling for independence and freedom but the so-called champions of human rights and their agents were becoming the cause of increasing their woes instead of making the world a hub of peace by resolving their problems. He said the TNFJ, fulfilling the saying of Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali (A.S.) and for reiterating its enmity with the oppressors and support for the oppressed observes Youm-ul-Quds Himayat Mazloomin (Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed) on Last Friday of Ramazan-ul-Mubarik for many years. The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Syed Hamid Moosavi appealed the countrymen to express solidarity with the oppressed world by observing the Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed like previous years and pay tributes to the Palestinian freedom fighters for their struggle to annex Al-Quds Ash-Sharif and raise a voice of protest against the oppression being carried out on them by staging religious gatherings, functions and displays in support of the oppressed. Meanwhile, Central Committee of the TNFJ has been formed to organise programmes for the Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed. Meesam Tammar has been nominated Convener and Abu Nasr Kazmi as Secretary of this Committee. END |
