Big rallies mark Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed By: Special Reporter
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Grand Protest rallies were staged across the country marking “Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed” on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Syed Hamid Moosavi on Juma-tul-Wida (last Friday of Ramazan).
In Islamabad, a demonstration was held under the arrangements of TNFJ Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed Committee in Aabpara Chowk. The demonstration, which began from the shrine of Hazrat Barri Sarkar (R.A.)’s father Sakhi Mehmoud Badshagh (R.A.), was led by TNFJ Central Joint Secretary Allama Syed Ikhlaq Hussain Kazmi, Central Secretary Hajj and Awqaf Allama Muhammad Abbas, TNFJ district Islamabad President Allama Basharat HUssain Imami, Allama Guftar Sadqi, TNFJ Central Secretary Azadari Ala Haider, Maulana Ijlal Baloch, Maulana Adeel Abbas Wisami, TNFJ Central Cooardination Secretary for Federal Area Raja Zulfiqar Ali, Maulana Fakhar Abbas Zahidi, Maulana Syed Shiraz Hussain, Maulana Saqlain HUssain Shah Gardezi, Chauhdry Sabir Hussain, Zulqarnain Naqvi, Qudrat ILahi Haideri, Commander Mukhtar Force Pakistan Syed Nazakat Hussain Kazmi, Syed Charagh Hussain Kazmi and other leaders.
Allama Bashar Imami, Maulana Fakhar Abbas Zahidi, Syed Zulqarnain Haider Naqvi and Maulana Saqlain Gardezi addressed the protestors and urged the Muslim Ummah to launch practical struggle for the solution of their collectives issues particularly liberation of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif, independence of Kashmir and end of imperialist atrocities against oppressed people of Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq and Afghanistan. They demanded from the government to ensure effective implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act to curb terrorism, and take notice of banned groups’ activities under new names.
A resolution presented by Raja Mehram Hussain from TNFJ district Islamabad was adopted on this occasion. It urged the resolution of Kashmir and Palestine issues in accordance with UN resolution and desires of respective people, as without this world could not be turned into a hub of peace. The resolution held international organizations responsible for non-solution of these issues which keep hypocritical approach for Islamic World and oppressed nation. Though issue like East Timor was get resolved by conducting plebiscite, but despite passage of more than a half century, martyrdom of hundreds of thousands of people, destruction of cities and houses, the so-called claimants of human rights are silent.
The resolution condemned efforts to divide cities in Sunni Shia category under colonial conspiracy making clear that they won’t let it to succeed. The resolution severely denounced Israeli occupation of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif, and expressed solidarity with the oppressed the world over including Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya and Thailand. In Rawalpindi, main demonstration marking the occasion was taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohalla attended by thousands of protestors. TNFJ district Rawalpindi Committee for the Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed organized the rally.
TNFJ Additional Secretary General Syed Shujat Ali Bukhari, Central Convener Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed Committee Meesam Tammar, Secretary of the Committee Abu Nasr Kazmi, Central Coordination Secretary for Punjab Syed Nasir Abbas Karbalayi, President TNFJ regional council Rawalpindi Allama Syed Matloob Taqi, District President Alhaj Ghulam Murtaza Chuhan, Maulana Qamar Kazmi, , Maulana Mujtaba Bukhari, Maulana Ijlal Haider Masoumi, Maulana Javed Haideri, Agha Syed Roohul Abbas Moosavi, Chairman MSO Syed Bu Ali Mehdi, Central President MSO Haider Abbas Bajwa, Deputy Supreme Commander MFP Ibn-e-Ali Kazmi, District President Ali Furqan Jafri, District Commander MFP Syed Miskeen HUssain Shah, Markazi Matmi Dasta Salar Malik Asad Abbas, Makhdom Syed Wiladat Kazmi and other leaders led the rally. The participants were holding different banners and placards inscribed with statements for Al-Quds.
The rally on reaching Committee Chowk turned into a big protest gathering. Addressing on the occasion, Meesam Tammar paid homage to all Muslims for fully participating in the programs of “Day of Quds Solidarity with Oppressed” by displaying unity to express solidarity with Muslim freedom movements continued the world over including that of for liberation of Al-Quds and independence of Kashmir on the appeal of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Hamid Moosavi.
Others who addressed on the occasion include Ghulam Murtaza Chuhan and Chairmain Wahdat Ulema-e-Pakistan Allama Zahid Abbas Kazmi. By a resolution adopted on the occasion, the participants demanded from the UN to get the issues of Kashmir and Palestine resolved in line with its resolutions and desires of their respective people. The resolution stressed upon OIC to come out of deep slumber and devise a solid and bold policy for solution of problems of Islam world.
The protestors canted slogans against the United States, India and Israel and torched effigies. Heavy contingent of police and district administration was present on the occasion. Earlier, addressing a protest gathering at Imambargah Ashiq Hussain TEli Mohalla, Allama Matlob Taqi and other speakers threw light on the significance of Al-Quds and expressed solidarity with all freedom movements in the world.
According to reports reaching TNFJ central committee for the Day, similar rallies were also held in Karachi, Larkana, Hayderabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Sialkot, D.G.Khan, Mianwali, Lahore and many other cities. END |
