Eid-ul Fitr marked; Moosavi urges to remember Eid lesson By: Salman Alvi
RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated throughout Pakistan including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas like other parts of the world on Sunday, November 14, with religious spirit, devotion and respect. In federal capital Islamabad and its twin city Rawalpindi, magnificent Eid congregations were held at hundreds of Mosques, Imambargahs and open places in which millions of Farzandaan-e-Tauheed by prostrating themselves before Allah offered gratitude of blessings and favours of Ramazan-ul-Mubarik. In Rawalpindi, main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr was held at Municipal ground Satellite Town adjacent to Ali Mosque where Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, who is also the chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, led the Eid prayer and delivered sermon. He said Muslim Ummah particularly in Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq, Afghanistan, Thailand and Philippines is being punished for their weakness which is because of dissension. This weakness could only be removed with practical unity. He said the biggest lesson the Eid gives us is unity and harmony. We should not forget this lesson, as therein lays success for humanity.
Earlier, addressing the congregation, Allama Sheikh Ejaz Hussain addressed and said those people are lucky who spent the past month of Ramazan, which end marks Eid-ul-Fitr, in obedience to Allah and service to His creation considering this month a great blessing for them. He urged the need of spending all other months, days and nights in the same way. He said at present Allah’s creation particularly oppressed nations and Islamic world is a target of oppression. Infidelity is united while oppressed and Muslim nations are disunited. Colonial powers and their agents are reaping the benefits of the same using ever-new tactics and creating further more dissension. Life of Kashmiris, Palestinians, Afghanis and Iraqis has been made hell, injustice and darkness is rife but the whole world is silent while UN and other so-called international organizations are tight-lipped, although it is included in their duties to play a role in restoring peace, achieving rights of oppressed and resolution of their problems to make the world a hub of peace. Special prayers were offered for an end to the troubles faced by the Islamic World, solution of problems, safety of Sha’aer-Ullah, success of freedom movements being continued the world over, and integrity and solidarity of motherland Pakistan.
