Lebanon: Ceremony held to honor Allamah Sharaf-uddin

JABAL AMEL, Lebanon: Al-Imam As-Sadeq (peace be upon him) Society for researches in the heritage of religious scholars of Jabal Amel, organized a program to honor the historian scholar Al-Allamah Abdullah Sharaf-uddin, and appreciate the efforts he exerted in study and search on signs of Shia men in forty volumes.

The Program held in hall of Ja'fariyah faculty in Soor under the guardianship of Iranian ambassador Masoud Idrisi.

Deputies Abdal Latif Az-Zin, Abdullah Qaseer, and Ali Kharis, former minister Mohammad Safey-Uddin, mufti of Soor, Ayatullah As-Sistani’s representative Hamed Al-Khaffaf, the archbishop Yuhanna Haddad, the archbishop of the Catholic sect, Al-Archimandrite Heili from the Orthodox sect, Ahmad Shawqi Al Amin, Sheikh Hassan Tarad, Sheikh Essam Kassab, a delegation from the Sunni Islamic endowments society in Soor and Sayyed Hani Fahs attended the honoring ceremony.

Different speakers addressed. The Society president Sheikh Hassan Baghdadi hailed the services of Al-Allamah Sharaf-uddin in scientific and intellectual fields while Iranian ambassador praised his role for the Jabal Amel people. Shariah judge of Saida Sheikh Ahmad Az-Zin, archbishop of Soor for Maronite sect, Nabil Al-Hajj and Hussain Sharaf-uddin Basem.
