Tributes paid to Grand Ayat Shirazi on 3rd death anniversary

KUWAIT CITY: Third Death Anniversary of late Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad bin Al-Mahdi Al-Husseini Ash-Shirazi was observed in different countries with respect.

Marking the occasion, majalis al-azaa and conferences were held in Kuwait, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Britain and Canada.

In Kuwait, a mourning ceremony was held at Husseiniyah Al-Karbalaya that was attended by large number of religious scholars, intellectuals poets and followers of late Grand Ayatullah whose lineage goes to the fourth infallible descendant of holy Prophet (p), Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abedin (p). Ma’rafi mosque prayer leader and speaker Sheikh Ali As-Salih, Sayyed Muhammad Ar-Rais and director scholarly association in Hawzah Ar-Rasul Al-Adham (p) Sheikh Yousaf Mulla Hadi addressed and lauded the services of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi for the religion.

A big number of religious scholars, speakers and representatives of the late Grand Ayatullah attended a mourning program held at Husseiniyah Ar-Rasul Al-Adham (p) in Dubai for high ranks of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi. Alhaj Salih Qaribi, Al-Ustaz Muhammad Sheikh Issa Al-Khaqani, member administrative council for Holy City of Karbala Alhaj Riyadh Ne’mah Salman and Dr Sheikh Foad Al-Halwaji addressed paying rich tributes to the late Grand Ayatullah.

In Saudi Arabia, majali al-azaa were held organized by different organizations at various Husseiniyaat and Mosques including Husseiniyah Ahlel Bayt (p) Khaweldiyah and Al-Imam Al-Hussein (p) Mosque Safwa for elevation of ranks of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi. Yahya As-Saweleh, Al-Ustaz Hassan Al-Qassem, poet Mansour Al-Boshrawi, elegist Muhammad Al-Jam’an Abu Yousaf, cleric Sheikh Abdollah Yousaf, elegist Raed Anteef, Ali Al-Morad Abu Haydar, cleric Sheikh Abdolazim Al-Mohtadi Al-Bahrani, cleric Sheikh Foad Al-Matroq and Al-Ustaz Adel Al-Matroq addressed.

In Canada, Al-Hawraa Zainab (p) Mosque and Husseiniyah Montreal organized a mourning ceremony to pay tributes to Grand Ayatullah Ash-Shirzai who enriched Islamic library with his more than 1260 writings. Alhaj Abu Nawwaf opened the ceremony with recitation of holy Quran while Alhaj Abu Abdollah Al-Basri recited eulogy in praise of the late Ayatullah. Sheikh Haydar Al-Kaffaji and Sheikh Hasan At-Tayi addressed.

In Syria, a mourning service was held at Al-Hawzah Al-Ilmiyah Az-Zainabiyah Damascus attended by large number of religious scholars, intellectuals, thinkers and pilgrims of Sayyedah Zainab (p) from Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran. Sayyed Abu Adib, Al-Ustaz Muhammad Abdinasser As-Saedi, Al-Ustaz Abbas Ayad, Al-Ustaz Mortada Ayad, Al-Ustaz Zakii Nouri, Al-Ustaz Engineer Foad As-Sadeq, Sayyed Ja’far Ash-Shirazi and Sayyed Mehdi Al-Monawwari addressed and lauded the great services of Ayatullah Shirazi for religion of Ahlul Bayt (p).
