Majalis, coffin Processions mark Mourning Day across Pak

By: Salman Alvi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: According to the directives of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, the martyrdom anniversary of sixth king of imamate Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) was observed throughout the country like other global parts on Sunday as Youm-e-Aza (Mourning Day) with religious and national spirit, devotion and respect.

Majalis-e-Aza were held and Taboot processions were taken out from all small and big cities and towns on this occasion. Ulema, zakireen and waizeen highlighted the Uswah-e-Sadiq-e-Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) and declared its practical following as guarantee of success and welfare here and the Hereafter.

Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Hamid Moosavi while addressing the Youm-e-Aza Majlis said, Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) was the symbol of truth and the golden principles designed by him are the beacon of light for the world of humanity. Knowledge, recognition, wisdom and awareness have been declared the foundation of the religion and it is that greatest ladder that Hazrat Adam (A.S.) was declared Masjood-e-Malaika (the one to whom prostrated the angels), and the Holy Prophet (SAW) who is the Chief of Messengers and Seal of Prophets was bestowed with the award of “City of Knowledge”.

He said today the whole world is confronted with all problems, issues and difficulties, the basic reason of which is ignorance, and practical following of the pious seerat of Khanwada-e-Muhammad (SAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) whose every person, woman, man, big or small is a symbol of knowledge and awareness is needed to curb all these problems.

Moosavi said the 65-year life span of Janashin-e-Rasool-e-Sadiq and Ameen, Farzand-e-Amirul Momineen, Mufassir Quran-e-Mubeen, and Muballigh and Murawwij-e-Shariat-o-Din Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) was spent in promoting knowledge and awareness, he laid the foundation of great Danishgah-e-Jafariya in Madinah that fulfilled the thirst of knowledge of the people from all around the world and 4,000 students sat before him at a time that included great Fuqaha (jurisprudents) like Nauman bin Sabit, Zararah bin Ayun and chemist Jabir bin Hayan.

The TNFJ chief said dictators and tyrant rulers had been averse to Khasan-e-Khuda in every era as they considered them a hurdle in their way. He said Hazrat Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) also confronted dictators and tyrant rulers who utilised all their energies to rule over him but he proved on the world that like his forefathers did not accept the Baia’at of any oppressor and brutal ruler for acme of the religion, similarly Jafar ibne Muhammad (A.S.) did not allow anyone to cause harm to the Deen-e-Muhammad (SAW) and as a punishment for that deed he had to kiss martyrdom.

He said today darkness, oppression and brutality is the order of the day, life in Kashmir and Palestine is being made difficult, war is now going on in Iraq after Afghanistan where cities after cities have been destructed and this is happening under the nose of the United Nations and the champions of human rights but, he said, the world should keep in mind that truth has to prevail and the evil has to go. However, he said, the honour of the Muslim rulers should wake up, if they did not adopt any joint and stable strategy then they all have to wait for their turn, one by one.

Presenting condolences to the Holy Prophet (SAW) on the occasion of Youm-e-Aza he reiterated his resolve to continue his practical struggle for righteousness and would not allow any bargaining on this pious mission.

Meanwhile, main Youm-e-Aza Majlis was held at Masjid-e-Jafariya Islamabad under the auspices of Convener Central Youm-e-Aza Committee Allama Sadiqi. Allama Tajuddin Haideri and other renowned ulema and zakireen of the country addressed the Majlis that followed bringing out of Taboot. Matmi corps also participated in the Majlis in a large number.

In Rawalpindi the main Youm-e-Aza procession, organized by Mukhtar Students Organization Chuhr Harpal Unit, was taken out under the auspices of Syed Karim Haider Shah Kazmi (l;ate) and Syed Fazal Hussain Shah Kazmi (late) from the shrine of Syed Lutfullah Shah Kazmi Al-Mashadi and terminated at the shrine of Sakhi Shah Piyara Kazmi Al-Mashadi after passing through its designated route. Different Matmi corps of Rawalpindi participated in Matamdari and Noha-Khwani. Later, Langar-e-Husseini was served.

Youm-e-Aza Majalis were held and Matmi processions were taken out also in Lahore, Karachi, Muzaffarabad, Quetta, Gilgit, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Peshawar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhelum, Chakwal, Multan and other cities.

"Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."
