Lebanon conference debates thoughts of Ayat Mousa Sadr By: Karim Tellawi BEIRUT, Lebanon: Fifth annual conference to debate thoughts and case of Lebanese spiritual leader Ayatullah Mousa As-Sadr was held in Lebanon marking 26th anniversary of his going missing. Ayatullah Mousa As-Sadr and his two companions - journalist Abbas Badreddin and Sheikh Muhammad Yaqub - were kidnapped in Libya 26 years ago and their fate is a unknown to-date. A large number of religious scholars, intellectuals, thinkers besides political and philosophical figures from different countries attended the gathering. Director General Ministry of Information Hassan Falha, Al-Ostaz Fouad Al-Kharsa, Malek Al-Mousawi, President Palestine’s Supreme Islamic Legal Council in Lebanon Sheikh Muhammad Namr Zaghmout, Dr Fauzi Atwi spokesman for Lebanon’s Cultural Minister Naji Al-Bustani, former minister Mohammad Yousaf Baydoun and many others addressed and threw light on the philosophies of Ayatullah Mousa As-Sadr as well as his role in highlighting the issue of Palestine.
