Tahaddamat Wallahi… Imam Ali (p) martyrdom programs begin

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands: In connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Amir-ul-Mo’mineen (Master of the Believers), Naser-e-Rasul (Helper of the holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure progeny), Abul A’immah (Father of the infallible imams from the progeny of holy Prophet, peace be upon them), Al-Imam Ali ibn-e-Abi Talib (peace be upon him), big mourning programs kicked off across the globe.

The grand mourning programs - majalis-e-aza (mourning sittings), mourning processions, taking out of replica coffin of holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny)’s son-in-law Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and special a’maal – began on the eve of 19 Ramazan and remain in continuation till 21st of Ramazan while some will go on till after this.

It was 19th dawn of the month of Ramazan in the year 40 A.H., when Ibn-e-Muljim (may Allah curse him) struck Master of the Faithful, cousin and son-in-law of the Chief of Prophets (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) Al-Imam Ali ibn-e-Abi Talib (peace be upon him) with poisoned sword during Fajr (dawn) prayer in the Mosque of Kufa causing a voice to come from heaven “Tahaddamat Wallahi Arkan Al-Huda” (By God Pillars of Guidance have collapsed) making entire universe to weep and weep, while Ali (peace be upon him) declared “Fuztou Wa Rabbul Ka’abah” (By God of Ka’abah, I (Ali) have succeeded).

Maula-e-Kaenaat Imam Ali (peace be upon him) kissed martyrdom on 21st Ramazan after being remained wounded for two days.

Various organizations and associations have organized mourning programs at mosques, holy shrines, hussainiyaat, imambargahs, imam baras, maatam and Islamic centers in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Syria, The Netherlands, Germany, Britain, United States, France, Italy, Tanzania, South Africa, New Zealand, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, China, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and many other countries attended by multitudes of mourners.

In their addresses and speeches, religious scholars and speakers highlighted the pious character and different aspects of the life of the first infallible descendant of holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) and caliph of Muslims, Master of the Faithful Imam Ali (peace be upon him) bringing to light his services and sacrifices for the cause of Islam as well as his precious teachings.
