Moosavi on Youm-e-Aza: Ali’s life style death of oppression

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Life-style of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) is the death of oppression and barbarism, and acme of justice and fair-play which, if followed, could get rid the world of humanity and Shariat of oppression, brutality, suppression and terrorism, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Syed Hamid Moosavi said.

In a special message issued on the occasion of Martyrdom Anniversary of Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) that is being observed throughout the country like other global parts on Friday as Youm-e-Aza (Mourning Day), he said that at present the whole world of humanity and Shariat was confronted with one problem or the other, blood has been shed profusely in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq, oppression, darkness, and evil are the order of the day. In these circumstances, the woes of humanity could be cured by following the teachings of the pious religious leaders.

Agha Moosavi made it clear that worship has been considered the objective of creation of human beings while martyrdom has been deemed the zenith of worship. Practical struggle for achieving the Divine targets has been declared blessing, and sacrificing life in upholding Kalma-e-Haq has been termed martyrdom.

Men of Allah always longed and requested from Allah to post them on the height of martyrdom, therefore Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) asked several times not only the Zaat-e-Illahi with pure heart rather he desired not to give up his breath on the cosy bed but kissing martyrdom while fighting out the enemies of religion and humanity in way of Allah in the battlefields and be posted on the place of meeting his Lord within no time. When his desire was not met in the Battle of Uhad he became unhappy, then the Prophet of Islam (SAW) said: Ali (A.S.) become happy, martyrdom is following you, but Ali (A.S.), tell me what would be the state of your patience then.

Hazrat Ali replied:

O Messenger of Allah! It is not the place for patience and forbearance rather an occasion to celebrate and pay thanks. Patience could be exercised where there is a sour feeling or unhappiness but here, I like martyrdom from the core of my heart rather martyrdom is my utmost desire.

The TNFJ chief said, on the 19th Ramazan, 40 Hijra eye of sky saw that the earth and heaven were shivering, Hoor-o-Ghilmaan were weeping, Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) was in the pool of his own blood, enemies of religion and humanity were afraid and upset, but Ali (A.S.) was heard as saying:

By the Lord of Ka’abah I have succeeded

He said why Ali (A.S.) had not announced his success when Allah has already announced in Quran

As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph

Ali (A.S.) and only (A.S.) in the universe is one who is the Shahkar-e-Qudrat, whose eyes were opened in the lap of Prophet (SAW) and Prophet’s (SAW) were closed in the lap of Ali (A.S.). Ali (A.S.) was the human being touching the peaks and heights and even enemies accepted his virtues and supremacy, whose only objective is crystal clear from this sentence that “By God, my repaired shoe is dearest to me than ruling the people like you, but through this rule restore the righteousness on its deserving place and root out evil.”

That is why a renowned Christian historian Khalil Jibran has written: It is my belief that son of Abu Talib (A.S.) is the first Arab who adopted the neighbourhood of soul of divinity and then become its secret-holder and life-sharer. He was the first Arab whose holy lips transmitted the voice of song of divinity to the human ears who had never heard this song before that. When Ali (A.S.) set out from this world he was counting beads in the state of prayer and the heart was throbbing for meeting Allah. The Arab World did not recognise his status and value.

He gathered his family on the 21st night of the month of Ramazan and willed that always support the righteousness, do every work to please Allah, become enemy of the oppressed and helpful for the oppressed. I, to both of you Hassan (A.S.) and Hussain (A.S.) and all sons like you and this family and every other person till the end of this world to whom this my will reaches, recommend piety, fulfilling deeds with discipline, and giving up differences, Fear from Allah while dealing with orphans . . . fear from Allah, do not let them sleep hungry, or they are unattended even for a while, take care of the neighbours, fear from Allah regarding Quran, the situation should not arise that other follow Quran in their deeds and you don’t, fear from Allah regarding House of Allah, keep in mind do not leave the House of Allah alone till you are alive. I remind you of Allah regarding Jehad. Keep on Jehad with wealth, life and tongue. Keep in touch and connected with each other, take care of one another, do not give up Amar Bil Maroof and Nahi Anil Munker, if you would leave them then the worst type of people would be imposed on you to rule and in which era the worst people would rule, Allah would not fulfil the dua made by you during that period.

After that the Master of Pious (A.S.) closed his eyes, turned towards the family members and said, I give you in the Allah’a custody. Allah may remain you firm on the path of Haq-o-Sidq (right and truth).

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Moosavi said, the timings were of early evening when the news of martyrdom spread throughout the city, voice of cries began rising from all around, believers surrounded the house of Ali, they hugged the door and walls of his home while crying so much so that Shahzada Hassan (A.S.) came out and asked them to set out for their homes. When they all left the place, he gave bathing and shrouding in line with the father’s (A.S.) will, put his body into the coffin box, then took out the coffin box gathering the sincere ones and the family members, took that coffin box on his shoulders and buried it in the soil of Najaf-e-Ashraf which is Marja-e-Khalaiq even today. In this way, the embodiment of piety reached the divine court in desire of meeting his Lord.
