By: Abdulali

AL-QATIF, Saudi Arabia: A’maal of blessed Layali Al-Qadr, or the Night of Qadr, (Ramadan 19, 21, 23) were held at mosques, husseiniyaat and houses in Saudi Arabia with due spirituality and devotion like other global parts.

On 23rd night of Ramadan, which according to a number of traditions is the Night of Qadr, throngs of believers in eastern parts of the kingdom – where followers of Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) make a majority – gathered at mosques and husseiniyaat to offer collective A’maal led by religious scholars.

In Al-Hafouf city, A’maal were held at Al-Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) mosque attended by thousands of devotees.

In Al-Awamiyah city, A’maal of the Night of Qadr - the night about which Allah Almighty says: “Inna Anzal-Nahu Fee Laylatil Qadr… Laylatol Qadri Kheyrom-Min Alfi Shahr…” (We revealed it (Holy Quran) in the Night of Qadr… Night of Qadr is better than one thousand months…) – were held at Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) mosque, Al-Imam Ar-Rida (peace be upon him) mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Mosque, Al-Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) mosque, Ayn Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) mosque, husseiniyah Omm Al-Banin (peace be upon her), husseiniyah Zeynabiyah and in Karbala yard led by Sheikh Ali Az-Zayed, Sheikh Naji Al-Ibadi, Sayyed Taher Ash-Shamimi, Sheikh Namr, Sheikh Taysir An-Namr, Sheikh Ali Al-Mousa and Sheikh Hasan Al-Awami.

In Al-Jaroudiyah, A’maal of Laylatol Qadr were performed at Al-Hasmiyah mosque for men, while husseiniyah Al-Me’raj near the mosque was specified for ladies.

In Sehat, A’maal were held in husseiniyah An-Nasser, Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abidin (peace be upon him) mosque, Az-Zahraa (peace be upon her) mosque, Al-Imam Al-Hasan (peace be upon him) mosque, Sayyedah Khadija (peace be upon her) mosque, Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Mosalla, husseiniyah Al-Bouri and husseiniyah Ar-Ramieh.

In other parts of the kingdom, where followers of Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) are not allowed to observe these openly, the A’maal were performed at houses.

The A’maal include supplications, special prayers, recitation of Surah Al-Ankabout, Surah Ar-Rum, Surah Dukhkhan, duaa At-Tawassol, duaa of Al-Imam Zayn-ol Abidin (peace be upon him), giving charity and zyarah of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him).

Night of Qadr is that night wherein the matters of the whole year are decided, and angels and the Ruh (chief angel) descend at the earth to the Last Proof of Allah on Earth Al-Imam Al-Hujjah (peace be upon him).

It is reported from holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) that

Prophet Mousa (peace be upon him) said: O Lord! I want your nearness.
Allah said: My nearness is for him/her who ceases to sleep in the Night of Qadr.
Mousa (peace be upon him) said: O Lord! I want your mercy.
He said: My mercy is for him/her who shows mercy to the needy in the Night of Qadr. Mousa (peace be upon him) said: O Lord! I want permit (ticket) to cross Sirat.
He said: This is for him/her who gives alms in the Night of Qadr.
Mousa (peace be upon him) said: O Lord! I want tress of Paradise and its fruits.
Allah said: That is for him/her who glorifies (Me) in the Night of Qadr.
Mousa (peace be upon him) said: O Lord! I want your pleasure.
He said: My pleasure is for him/her who offers two Rak’at in the Night of Qadr.

Mistress of the Women of World Sayyedah Fatimah Az-Zahra (peace be upon her) said: He who deprives himself from the good of this night, is deprived.

"Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."
