Ayat Fayyaz calls for in time vote, urges Iraqis to fully participate By: Ismail Zabeeh HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: In first statement of its kind, one of four Marajay in the holy city of Najaf, Ayatullah Sheikh Nabil Ishaq Fayyaz, has stressed on the necessity of holding elections on time. He said conducting vote on time would be “the first step towards right direction for the construction of a free Iraq and achievement of justice and stability for Iraqis”. In a statement issued from his office in Holy Najaf on Friday, he called for unity in ranks to achieve stability of the country and peace. Ayatullah Fayyaz said the security situation is “related to holding elections in time because it will lead to the creation of a democratic free government, and necessity of participation of all Iraqis in their self-determination”. He concentrated on identifying and recognizing experienced, good and efficient national personalities as a representative of the nation and guardian of their interests and rights. “We ask prayer leaders, speakers and intellectuals to fully participate in the elections, and urge the Iraqi nation that it has right to vote and is free therein,” the statement added.
