Iran invited to counter-terrorism conference By: Abdulali RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia invited Iran – accused by Washington of being the world's leading “state sponsor of terrorism” - to attend an international counter-terrorism conference it plans to host in the first week of February 2005. The official SPA news agency reported that the kingdom's ambassador in Tehran delivered the invitation from Crown Prince and de facto ruler Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz to Iranian President Mohammad Khatami. Riyadh has invited the United States to take part in the four-day conference. END |
