Hawzah shocked over recruits massacre, clans warn By: Ismail Zabeeh HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Al-Hawzah Al-Ilmiyah An-Najaf Al-Ashraf expressed its deep shock over the massacre of 50 innocent army recruits on Saturday at the hands of terrorist group of Abu-Musab Az-Zarqawi near Baquba northeast of Baghdad while the southern clans threatened the terrorists with revenge for the killing of their soldier sons. In a statement on Monday, October 25, Ramadan 10, the Holy Najaf Hawzah said: “The news of committing butchery of innocent unarmed tens of soldiers of Iraqi National Guard during their return to their cities, villages, families and children in south of Iraq so that they fast with their families and their lovers in this holy month of Ramadan coinciding the assassination of one of Al-Hawzah Al-Ilmiyah men in Karbala and another assassination attempt in Numaniya city, shocked the Holy Najaf Hawzah.”. “The Hawza, which was also shocked earlier by similar massacres by these terrorists in Holy Najaf, Karbala, Kazimiyah, Baghdad, Basra, Kirkuk, Irbil and many of the other Iraq cities, hopes from our honoring Iraqi citizens and especially in the known criminals fortification regions that they co-operate with the competent authorities in revelation of these terrorists’ cells so that they get their just reward due to what their hands committed of sins,” the statement added. The Hawzah demanded from the Muslim scholars and their organizations to condemn these abominable crimes, and asked the competent authority to fulfill their full responsibilities in investigation and revelation of these criminals, those who offer them support, guidance and help and the inciting media as well. “We ask Allah the Exalted the Majestic that He overwhelms our unarmed innocent sons by His abundant mercy, places them in paradises and give their families, companions and all Iraqis patience to bear this loss,” it concluded. Meanwhile, Iraqi Defense Minister Hazem Shaalan has threatened to punish those who committed the massacre. END |
