Iraqi minister discusses latest situation with Marjaiyaat

HOLY NAJAF, Iraq: Finance minister of the Interim Government of the Republic of Iraq Adil Abd al-Mahdi held talks with Marja’iyaat in the Holy City of Najaf, home to the holy shrine of Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (p), last week.

During meeting, first with Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Husseini As-Sistani and later with Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Said Al-Hakim, the minister acquainted the Marja’iyaat with his visits to Iran and the United States and discussed current Iraqi situation and the upcoming election. He also greeted the Marjaiyaat for holy month of Ramadan.
