Two million visitors in Saudi holy cities, Tawaf area expanded By: Abdulali HOLY CITY OF MECCA, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Information and Culture Minister Dr. Fuad Al-Farsy said a total of 2.3 million visitors have arrived from a number of countries for performing Umrah in the holy city of Mecca and visiting Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny)’s shrine in the holy city of Madina during the holy month of Ramadan. Visitors to the City of Chief of Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) - Holy Madina – also visit cemetery of Al-Baqee and Al-Mo’alla, home to the leveled holy graves of Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny)’s beloved daughter Sayyedah Fatima (peace be upon her), his infallible progeny (peace be upon them), his pious companions (may Allah be please with them) and Ommahatol Momineeen (may Allah be please with them). Meanwhile, the Tawaf area of the second floor of the Mecca sanctuary has been expanded and now it is 15 meters wide, and should therefore relieve the congestion. A special track has been built for the wheelchairs for the disabled and the infirm elderly. END |
