Patriarch Delly confers vote with Marja’iyah

HOLY CITYOF NAJAF, Iraq: Al-Marjay Ad-Dini Ayatullah Sayyed Ali As-Sistani received on Thursday patriarch of the Chaldean Church Emmanuel Delly in his office in the Holy City of Najaf.

Emmanuel Delly, accompanied by Dr Muwaffiq Ar-Rubaie, discussed with the grand marjay the upcoming elections in the country. Ayatullah As-Sistani asked Delly to encourage Christian brethren for partaking in election so that all may participate in writing constitution.

During the brotherly meeting, the Ayatullah denounced the violence attacks directed against all Iraqis including Christian brothers condemning terrorism by hardliners and terrorists against the churches and the Iraqis.
