Ayat Modarresi urges for sticking to Candle of Hope

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: Holy Karbala’s Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Taqi Al-Modarresi, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Monqez-ol-Bashariyah (Savior of Humanity) Al-Imam Al-Hujjah (peace be upon him), has urged Iraqis to stick more firmly to the Candle of Hope (Al-Imam Al-Mehdi) to get rid of problems being faced by them.

In a statement issued marking 15th of Shaban, Ayatullah Al-Modarresi said that we, on the birth anniversary of Khatem-ol-Wasiyyin, the expected imam, the promised hope, the desired justice Al-Imam Al-Hujjah bin Al-Hassan Al-Mehdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance), give glad tidings to ourselves and the world that the torches of light will triumph over the darkness, good motives will beat the evil powers, clouds of dignity, signs of mercy and flags of guidance will dominate the world and defeat the oppression.

He said we are awaiting the Imam Al-Mehdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance) as a saying of Holy Prophet (peace of Allah be upon him and his pure progeny) goes: “Best deed of My Ummah is waiting his reappearance”.

The Ayatullah warned that delay in elections is not in favor of anyone, and that political and religious powers should unite their efforts for fair and free elections.

He urged the need of avoiding all that is detrimental for the unity of the nation.
