Day of Travel to Karbala observed in Pakistan By: Special Reporter
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Youm-e-Safar-e-Karbala (The Day of Travel to Karbala) marking the departure of Chief of Martyrs Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) from Medina Munawwarah was observed throughout the country including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas with respect and fervor on Tuesday Rajab 28 in line with the announcement made by Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Pakistan (TNFJ). Grand Majalis-e-Aza and processions of coffin and ammari (canopied camels) were held in all big and small cities and towns. Also in twin cities of capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi, different organizations and bodies organized majalis-e-aza. Addressing a majlis-e-aza at Imambargah Zainabia G-6/4 Islamabad organized by Muhammad Rafique Mughal, TNFJ central secretary information Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said Imam Aali Maqam (AS) departed Medina for protection and safety of Mohammedan Shariah and human values. He said Syed-ush-Shuhada (Chief of Martyrs) Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) by refusing to take the oath of allegiance to Yazid gave practical lesson of taking firm stand against wickedness, oppression and barbarism to the freedom-lovers and conscious people till the Day of Resurrection. He urged the need of walking on the Path of Hussainiat to foil Yazidi conspiracies in the present age. In Ariyah Mohalla Rawalpindi, a Majlis-e-Aza was held under the arrangements of Syed Navid Hussain Naqvi. Khateeb Fateh Furat and Zakir Ghulam Farid besides other speakers addressed. At the end of the Majlis, replica coffin of Imam (AS) was taken out (AS) and different Matami groups performing matamdari and Noha Khwani offered their condolence. A majlis-e-aza was organized at Imambargah Kashmirian Dhok Ratta followed by matamdari and noha khwani. Renowned noha khwan from Lahore Katri Bawa attended. Allama Naseem Abbas Rizvi and others addressed a majlis-e-aza in Thala Syedan organized by Syed Ameer Hussain Shagh. Majalis marking the departure of Hussain Caravan were held at Imambargah Zain-ul-Abidin (AS), Jamia-tul-Murtaza (AS) G-9/4, Imambargah Qasr-e-Rubab (AS), Qasr-e-Abu Talib and many others mosques and imambargahs. In the meantime, according to reports reaching TNFJ headquarters, majalis-e-aza and processions marking the day were also held in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Chakwal, Jehlum, Karachi, Larkana, Haiderabad, Nawabshah, Sakkhar, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Multan, D.I.Khan, D.G.Khan, Bhakkar, Quetta and Muzaffarabad etc. END |
