Marking the auspicious occasions, various organizations, associations and missions organized grand celebratory programs at mosques and husayniyaat which were decorated beautifully and skillfully. Streets and buildings were also bedecked with buntings, lights and colored ribbons. Banners inscribed with greeting statements were placed on the buildings.

In Sehat city, a festival was held at Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abidin (peace be on him) Mosque attended by people from all walks of life. The program opened with recitation of holy Quran by reciter Dr Husayn Mahif. Sheikh Abdelkadir addressed while young poet Fallah As-Sehati offered poetic tributes. Later, Ustaz Masour Al-Marshoud recited Mauled Al-Imam Al-Husayn, Mauled Al-Abbas and Mauled Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abidin (peace be on them). "Knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."
