S Arabia: Celebration marking birthday of Savior of Humanity

HOLY CITY OF MEDINA, Saudi Arabia: Celebrations marking 15th of Shaban – birth anniversary of the last Wasi of Prophet Muhammad (SW), Allah's hojjah (proof) on earth, the Imam Al-Asr Imam Mohammad bin Al-Hasan Al-Mehdi (AS) – started in Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, in the holy city of Medina – home to the holy shrine of Chief of Messengers and Prophets, Prophet Muhammad bin Abdellah (SW), besides demolished graves of his beloved daughter Sayyedah Fatimah Az-Zahraa (AS), his infallible descendants Al-Imam Al-Hassan (p), Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abedin (AS), Al-Imam Al-Baqer (AS), Al-Imam As-Sadeq (AS), his pious companions and wives (RA) – as well as in eastern parts Qateef and Ahsaa etc, demonstrations of happiness and merriment were evident as mosques, hussainiyat, buildings, residential apartments and the entrance gates of the cities, towns and villages were adorned with shinning decorations, flowers and colorful lights.

Sweetmeat shops prepared special stuffs marking the occasion. Festive gatherings are being held organized by various organizations and associations.

Aamaal of fifteenth Shaban, consist of zyarah of Al-Imam Al-Hussain (AS), prayers and recitation of adiyah specified with this night, began in all mosques and hussainiyaat attended by thousands of devotees. Prayers are being offered for haste reappearance of Monqez Al-Bashariyah, or the Savior of Humanity Al-Imam Al-Hujjah Al-Mehdi (AS).

In their speeches, scholars threw light on the importance and excellence of the fifteenth Shaban night which got further honor with the birth of Imam Al-Mehdi (AS).
