Iranians commemorate Hazrat-e-Zainab (AS)’s martyrdom

HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Martyrdom anniversary of granddaughter of holy Prophet Hazret-e-Muhammad (SAW), Batla-i-Karbala Hazret-e-Sayyida Zainab (AS), was commemorated throughout Iran like other countries on 15 Rajab, the seventh month of Islamic calendar.

Special mourning ceremonies were held in all cities of the country. Speakers in their speeches at these majalis (mourning sittings) threw light on the lofty status enjoyed by the sister of Hazret-e-Imam Husayn (AS), Hazret-e-Zainab binte Ali (AS).

Hazret-e-Zainab (AS) was the preacher of holy mission of her brother Hazret-e-Imam Husayn (AS), and in this way she bore difficulties with great patience, bravery, firmness, courage and ishq al-Wilayat (great love for wilayat) which she inherited from her father Hazret-e-Ali (AS) and her mother Hazret-e-Fatima Zahra (AS).

These programs were organized at the holy shrines of Hazret-e-Imam Ali Ar-Reza (AS) and Hazret-e-Fatima Masoumeh (SA) in the holy cities of Mash’had and Qom as well as mosques and husayniyat in different cities.

Mourners offered their condolences to Imam Ar-Reza (AS) and Hazret-e-Masoumeh (AS) on the occasion.
