MANAMA, Bahrain: Mourning programs in commemoration of
the martyrdom anniversary of Ar-Rasoul Al-Adham Prophet
Muhammad (S) were held across Bahrain with hundreds of
thousands extending condolence to Ahl-ol Bayt (A) marking
the sad occasion.

These programs – Majalis, Latmiyaat and Mawakeb Azaiyah or
the mourning gatherings - began on the eve of 28 Safar,
day of Martyrdom of Holy Prophet (S), and terminated late
on 28 Safar. Replica coffins of the Chief of Prophets (S)
were also taken out in the processions attended by
renowned elegists.
Mourners, wearing black mourning dresses, shed tears,
performed chest and head beating and recited dirges to
signify their grief over the martyrdom of Father of
Sayyidah Fatimah Az-Zahraa (A).




Various religious organizations and groups organized the
majalis and mawakeb at different mosques, hussainiyaat and
Maatam including Fatimah Az-Zahra (A) Mosque, Maatam
Al-Imam Al-Baqer (A), Al-Mo’men Mosque, Hussainiyah Al-Qassab,
Maatam bin Sallum, Maatam Ad-Darah, Maatam As-Samamik,
Maatam Al-Haaj Ali Al-Mulla, Maatam Raas Ar-Rumman,
Hussainiyah Al-Haj Ahmed bin Khamis and many others.


Addressing the huge gatherings, Hussaini speakers threw
light on the holy life, character and manners of Ar-Rasoul
Al-Adham (S), brother of Al-Imam Al-Ali Al-Murtaza (A) and
grandfather of Master of Youths of Paradise Al-Imam Al-Hassan
(A) and Al-Imam Al-Hussain (A), as well as detail of his
martyrdom.
Meal from the table of Al-Imam al-Hussain (A) and Sayyidah
Az-Zahraa (A) was served to the mourners, while stalls of
hot and cold drinks were also set up.
