UK march pays homage to Imam Hassan (AS) with Zanjir matam

BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom: Like other countries,
martyrdom anniversary of Chief of Youths of Paradise
Hazrat Imam Hassan (AS), grandson of holy Prophet (SAW)
and son of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (AS) and Hazrat Ali Murtaza
(AS), was observed in Britain.
Marking the sad occasion, majalis-e-aza and mourning
procession were held in different parts of the United
Kingdom.
Anjuman-e-Pursa Darn-e-Imam-e-Zamana organized a
majlis-e-aza followed by a procession of Zuljinah (mount
of Imam Hussain (AS)), Taboot (replica coffin of Imam
Hassan (AS)) and Alam (standard of Hazrat Abbas (AS)) on
10th of April in Birmingham that was attended by large
number of mourners.
The procession under supervision of Syed Muhammed Ali Jan
Badshah began from Calthorpe Park (Edward Road Balsall
Heath Birmingham12) and finished with matam of zanjeer
(striking razor blades at backs to shed blood to signify
grief) at Lime Grove community centre (opposite Clifton
road Mosque) Balsall Heath after passing through its
designated routes.
