MONTREAL, Canada: Expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of Iraq and abhorrence for oppressors, Foundation of Al-Hawra Zainab (A.S.) Mosque and Hosainiyah in Montreal has organized a mourning program for height of ranks of Madain martyrs and to console the bereaved families.

In the middle of this April, terrorists took at least 150 people of the Iraqi city of Madain including children, women and old people hostages and later their badly mutilated dead bodies were found from River Tigris.

Madain is home to the shrine of Abdullah bin Ja’far At-Tayyar (A.S.), tombs of holy Prophet Muhammad (S.W.)’s distinguished companions Salman Farsi (R.A.), Hudhaifa Al-Yamani (R.A.) and Jabir b. Abdullah Al-Ansari (A.S.) as well as a historic site Tak-e-Kisra, the palace of Nausherwan - part of ancient Babylonian civilization – which was said to have developed cracks on its walls when the Holy Prophet (S.W.) was born in Makkah.

The commemorative program, consisting of majlis al-azaa and azaa-ol latam, will be held on Thursday 28 April at 9:00 PM at Al-Hawra Zainab (A.S.) Mosque and Hosainiyah, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
