HOLY CITY OF MASH’HAD, Iran: By holding magnificent celebrations, Iranian nation expressed their great happiness and cheerfulness in connection with the birth anniversaries of Savior of Humanity, Mercy for the Worlds Holy Prophet Hazret-e-Muhammad (S.W.) and his truthful grandson Hazret-e-Imam Ja’fer-i-Sadeq (A.S.) on Raby’ol-Avval 17.

The celebratory programs were held at the holy mausoleums of Hazret-e-Imam Ali bin Mousa Ar-Reza (A.S.) and his sister Hazret-e-Fatimeh Al-Masoumeh (A.S.) in the holy cities of Mash’had and Qom as well as tomb of late founder of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatullah Seyed Ruhullah Khomeini Al-Mosawi in Tehran, shrines of imam-zadgan, mosques and hosainiyaat.

Tens of thousands of people began thronging at the beautifully decorated Mash’had and Qom holy mausoleums on Monday Raby’ol-Avval 16 to celebrate the most auspicious occasion.

Speakers threw light on different aspects of the holy life of the Best of Creatures Holy Prophet (S.W.) and his sixth infallible descendant Hazret-e-Imam Ja’fer-i-Sadeq (A.S.), how he transformed society, brought respect to the power, showed the rights of women, treated children kindly, encouraged learning and knowledge, advised forbearance and patience, cautioned against injustice, greed, exploitation and wrath, thereby presented to humanity keys of prosperity in life and salvation in the Hereafter.

Eulogists recited eulogies in the respected court of holy Prophet (S.W.) and the Imam (A.S.).

Addressing Tuesday to a group of state officials and foreign thinkers attending the 18th unity conference as well as Muslim states' ambassadors marking the happy occasion, Supreme Leader of the country Ayatullah Ali Khamenei invited world of Islam to unity and vigilance against the divisive plots of arrogance.

"Unity is one of the most important needs of Muslim Ummah today and ever," he said adding that the standard and pivot of unity to which Iran invites the world of Islam is the holy Prophet of Islam Hazrat-e-Muhammad (S.W.).

Earlier, President Muhammad Khatami congratulated the audience on the auspicious birth anniversaries of the Prophet (S.W.) and Hazrat-e-Ja’fer-i-Sadeq (A.S.), recalling mankind's growing need to injunctions of Islam.
