HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Clerics and scholars of Al-Hawzah Al-Ilmiyah in the holy city of Najaf have reproached Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah Hassan Nasrullah, warning the militia’s Beirut-based Al-Manar TV channel against touching the unity in ranks of all Muslims particularly of Shias.

According to Iraq-based Al-Najaf News Network website and Iraq News Agency, the rebuke came after Al-Manar committed aggression in one of its programs against Al-Marja’iyah Ad-Diniyah in the holy city of Najaf – Centre of the entire Shia world for being the city of Gate of Knowledge -.

It attacked dignity of Grand Marajay (top religious authorities) including late Grand Marjay of Shia World Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Mohsin At-Tabatabai Al-Hakim, and late Chancellor Hawzah Ilmiyah Najaf and king of principles of jurisprudence Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Abu Al-Qassem Al-Khoei.

Al-Najaf News said that from the very beginning of US-led war Al-Manar stood by the side of ousted Bathists spitting venom against oppressed Iraqi people arguing that Bathists are against occupation. It continued, for two years, spreading culture of enmity among political forces present on Iraqi soil.

The website on behalf of all Iraqis demanded from the new government to shut all offices of Al-Manar working in Iraq and expel their staff.
