Lebanon's Higher Shiia Council calls for moderate political system
By: Karim Tellawi
BEIRUT, Lebanon: Lebanon's Higher Shiia Council
Vice-President Sheikh Abdel-Amir Qabalan has called for a Lebanese
court to try the assassins of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
"Why don't we form a Lebanese court?" he asked. "Lebanon has highly
qualified judges who are known for their integrity and serious work."
"If we don't trust our judges, then why should we trust the Justice
Ministry?" he asked.
He urged politicians "to be moderate and honest and stay clear from
everything that harms the national interest."
He also rejected "defiance, fanaticism and selfishness," and slammed
officials who are demanding the truth behind the recently uncovered
mass graves in Anjar and Yarze, saying let "he who is without sin cast
the first stone."

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
