BRUSSELS, Belgium: In its second annual report on EU-Israel relationship, Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) said the European Union is facilitating Israel's violations of international human rights and humanitarian law by deferring to them in its own dealings with Israel.

It said Israel continues to violate the human rights of Palestinians and the EU's diplomacy continues to accommodate many of Israel's illegal policies.

The report is launched on the occasion of the EU-Israel Association Council which will be held in Brussels on 12 December.

EMHRN is a network of 84 human rights organizations in the Euro-Mediterranean region that are working to promote and protect universal human rights values.

The report urges the 25-member European bloc to make increased and regular public reference to illegal actions carried out by the armed forces of Israel that are causing the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
