Kuwait prepares security plan for Muharram By: Sultan Ahmed KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: Kuwait’s Ministry for Interior Affairs has made a security plan for the month of Muharram-ol Haram during which the matchless sacrifice of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (a.s.) rendered for Islam in the burning desert of Karbala some 1,400 years ago is commemorated. The plan, which includes deployment of security forces and police to help protect performance of Sha’a’er ad-diniyah (husseini majales and mawakeb) in a sensitive situation prevailing in the country, is aimed at maintaining law and order and preventing miscreants from creating unrest. Meanwhile, preparations to mourn the tragedy of Karbala have been finalized in the country. Husseiniyaat owners have set up huge screens to transfer inside-majales for husseini mourners sitting outside the husseiniyaat, while black banners have been placed on the walls of husseiniyaat.
