Moosavi at PC announces 17-point Code of Azadari

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi has made it clear that Azadari is our basic right and the jugular vein on which neither our forefathers bargained nor we will do so and even our future generations would not do so and would not also allow anyone to interfere in it. The Azadaran should offer their Azadari rites in peace and with courage.

He was addressing a crowded Press Conference at Tehreek’s headquarters here on Wednesday. A 17-point Code of Azadari was also announced on this occasion. Central Secretary Information TNFJ Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Convener Central Muharram Committee Azadari Cell Syed Shujaat Ali Bokhari, various ulema and senior office-bearers of the Tehreek were present during the Press Conference.

Answering a question, Agha Moosavi said, putting restriction on loudspeaker or any scholar or Zakir is not a solution to any problem and is not wise rather action should be taken against wrong use of loudspeaker and those who fan provocation and hatred.

Responding another question, he said the responsibility of all incidents that took place last year in Balochistan lay on Jamali government because despite drawing their attention time and again the government had not formed Muharram Azadari Cell as a result of which tragic incident took place in Quetta on the Day of Ashoora.

Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya while answering a question about American threats to Iran said attack on any State would be considered as an attack on the whole Islamic World. He said Muslim States would be targeted one by one unless Muslim Ummah forms a joint strategy after coming out from the shackle of Arab and Ajam (non-Arab), the latest example of which, he added, is counter-terrorism international conference held in Saudi Arabia at which Kashmir issue was completely ignored.

Replying a question about Iraq, he said elections in all Muslim States including Pakistan are the basis for democracy, elections in Iraq were not held on the basis of Shia and Sunni rather on the basis of whole Iraqi nation and attaching Shia-Sunni concept to it is a heinous conspiracy on the part of colonial powers.

Answering a question about terrorism, Moosavi said that in 1985, he had said before anyone else that a terrorist keeps no religion, faith or a country and today every one is accepting our point of view.

The TNFJ chief said that when former Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah took suo moto notice of terrorism, the TNFJ had presented a 850-page document in the Supreme Court, and President Musharraf issued Anti-Terrorism Ordinance after keeping that document in front of him. Now that ordinance has become an Act, he said adding that there is need to implement that Act strictly and the activities of the banned groups working with new names should be taken care of.

Answering another question he said, solution to many problems confronted by the nation and the country lay in the implementation of May 21, 1985 agreement.

Syed Hamid Moosavi said the most complete religion from amongst the religions in the world is Islam only. Although there are five Shariats but the religion of all prophets (A.S.) had been the same. The last Shariat is that of Khatmi Martabat (SAW). As many as 104 books were sent on prophets (A.S.) and Quran is the last Book that is a complete code of life while the pious life of the Holy Prophet (SAW) had been declared a complete example to follow which is code of life for us and Khanwada-e-Rasool (SAW) is the protector and defender of this code. One of them is the great personality of Nawasa-e-Rasool (SAW) Farzand-e-Ali (A.S.) and Batool (S.A.) about whom the Holy Prophet (SAW) said, Hussain (A.S.) is from me and me from Hussain (A.S.). This saying is a clear-cut evidence on greatness and dignity of Hussain.

When Yazid took over power only 50 years after the Holy Prophet (SAW), he not only refused ‘Wahi’ and ‘Ilhaam’ but also tried to change Khilafat-e-Illahi (divine caliphate) into Malookiyyat (monarchy) and trample the principles of the religion of Islam. At that time the inheritor of Prophets and messengers who was brought up in the lap of Ilham and Wahi Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) made it clear on the universe that he would not allow Yazid to do so and he proved through his deed that like Khansan-e-Khuda (selected persons of Allah) became mountain way of Nimroud, Shaddad, Qaroon, Pharaoh, Hamaan, Abu Lahab, Abu Jehl, similarly Hussain (A.S.) will write such a history against Yazid which could not be matched till the D-Day.

Therefore, he proved it true by presenting sacrifice of his life along with his 72 near and dear ones, companions, and supporters. On this basis love for Hussain is there in the heart of every conscientious person. Hussain ibne Ali (SAW) himself stated the objective of his Qayam that: “I am not coming out with the objective of war or conflict nor my objective is to create riot or carry out oppression and brutality against anyone, I have set out myself for the correction of my grandfather’s Ummah and my objective is to restore Amar Bil Ma’aroof and Nahi Anil Munker and to follow grandfather and father”.

The objective of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom was protection of religion and Shariat, respect the mankind, defend and represent the human dignity. That is why Hussain (A.S.) is the martyr of humanity. Martyrdom of Imam Mazloom (A.S.) is the name of sacrificing on righteousness and truthfulness and the name of peace and tranquillity getting freed from the obstructions on the basis of Maslak, country, region, group and Maktab. Hussain (A.S.) lives in the heart of human beings irrespective of the country or faith he belongs to.

This heart-rending tragedy that took place on 10th Muharram, 61 Hijra not only wiped out Yazidiyyat rather gave the message of eternal death for the oppressor and tyrant ruler of every era and increased the dignity of the ideology and made the religion of Islam enjoy supremacy. Hussain (A.S.) preferred death with honour over life in disguise.

Moosavi said we are observing the memory of Syed-ush-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his sincere companions in such a time when the international Taghoot and her agents were dominating all around. Iraq is under aggression now after Afghanistan, Kashmir and Palestine are undergoing wrath and the oppressed nations and the Islamic World are fearful and upset because the international Taghoot is free to do what it likes, there is no one to stop them, they are united but there is anarchy and unrest in Muslim States the basic reason of which is a saying of the Maula-e-Kainaat Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) that goes: Do not give up Amar Bil Ma’aroof and Nahi Anil Munker, if you give it up, the evils will get themselves imposed on you, then you will pray to rid yourself rid of them but your prayers will not be accepted.

The objective of Qayam-e-Imam was the survival and promotion of Kalma-e-Tauheed. Moosavi said Pakistan enjoys the honour and dignity throughout the world that its basis and foundation is La Ilaha Il-lalah, and according to Khwaja Moeen-ud-Din Chishti Hussain ibn-e-Ali (A.S.) is the very foundation of La Ilaha Il-lalah.

Pakistan, by the Grace of Almighty Allah, is an atomic power now. It is undeniable fact that neither international Taghoot and its agents remained friends of the oppressed and Muslims nor they would become friends with them in future, they are simply friends of their own interest. They do not lose any occasion to cause harm to the oppressed nations and the Islamic World and use Muharramul Haraam just to achieve their heinous desires. Therefore, it is obligatory for us to prove through our words, deeds and character that Hussain (A.S.) belongs to all and by adopting Hussainiyyat we would thwart every conspiracy and tactic joining hands together in following the path of Hussainiyyat.

The Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi announced following 17-point Code of Azadari:

CODE OF AZADARI

1. The government should follow the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi agreement in connection with bringing out Azadari processions.

2. Muharram Azadari Cells should be set up at the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and at Central, Provincial (including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas) and District level and these should be publicised through media so that possible problems of the Azadars are resolved. Moreover these Cells should keep a close contact with the Muharram Committees (Azadari Cells) of Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya Control Room at TNFJ headquarters. These Cells should be kept intact till 8th Rabiul Awwal.

3. The holy month of Muharram is commensurate with the exemplary sacrifices of Syed-us-Shuhada (A.S.) and his near and dear ones. Therefore, electronic and print media should not only highlight the great sacrifices of Martyrs of Karbala in an effective manner, and should not present but also avoid ‘Munkiraat’. Radio and Television should keep off music, and stop presenting dramas and comedy programmes.

4. Effective and concrete protective measures should be taken before hand to provide protection to Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions at sensitive places.

5. No one should be allowed to take law into his own hand, terrorism and violence should be discouraged completely. The government should ensure effective implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

6. The countrymen should keep a strict eye on enemies of Islam and Pakistan and beware of elements preaching hatred and enmity, media in particular should strictly discourage such elements.

7. The elements spreading division and restlessness in the name of religion and Maktab should be prohibited rather they should be dealt with an iron hand.

8. The government should not enforce any order that may encroach upon the rights of any one.

9. All schools of thought should respect each other from the core of their heart and preach their beliefs and ideologies in a positive manner, and highlight the achievements of Imam Aali Muqaam (A.S.) and his near and dear ones.

10. Ulema, waizeen, and zakireen should keep the importance of unity in view at every place and give priority to solidarity, integrity and interests of the motherland.

11. Special arrangements for light and cleanliness should be made at the places of Majalis-e-Aza and on the routes of Matmi procession all over the country.

12. The Administration all over the country should be directed to cooperate with Azadars, organisers of Majalis and processions. The Administration should avoid spreading fear and harassment so that Azadars could perform their Azadari rites without any fear and threat.

13. The organisers of Majalis and processions should make protective measures on self-help basis and remain alert.

14. Political leaders should postpone all type of political activities during the Ashra-e-Muharram and keep Azadari supreme over all other things. Women should follow the seerat and character of Mukhadderat-e-Islam while elders and young that of Mashaheer-e-Islam.

15. Discipline should be taken care of in Majalis and Matmi processions and any activity that may be contrary to the spirit of Azadari should be avoided.

16. In case of any untoward incident the issue may be resolved through contacting the local administration and the Muharram Committee of Tehreek Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya. The Central Muharram Committee of the TNFJ should be approached if the issue remains unresolved at local level.

17. The organisers of Majalis-e-Aza and Azadari processions are fully responsible to follow the ‘Code of Azadari’ and also enforce it on waizeen and zakireen.
