Britain: Believers observing mourning of Imam Hussain (A.S.)

LONDON, Britain: Grand Azadari programs were continued at mosques, imambaras, hussainiyat and Islamic centers in Britain with large number of mourners attend to mark the incomparable sacrifices of Karbala’s great martyr – Hazrat Imam Husain (A.S.).

Speakers throw light on the objective of Qayam of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) who by following the path of his grandfather holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.) and father Ali bin Abi Talib (A.S.) elevated the eternal principles of Islam by presenting supreme sacrifices in the hot desert of Karbala along with his 72 near and dear ones some 1,400 years back.

These Azadari programs, which began on the eve of Muharram, will continue till Rabi Al-Awwal 8.

Sheikh Hussain Al-Ameeri addresses daily majalis at hussainiya Rasool Al-Azam (S.A.W.) London while elegy-chanter Sayyed Hasan Al-Karbalayi recites elegies. Sayyed Mustafa Al-Qazvini addresses majales at Ahlul Bayt Foundation London and Haj Al-Attar recites dirges. At Mehfil-e-Ali UK, a 10-day series of lecture entitled 'Imam al-Husayn (AS), the spiritual soldier’ is being delivered by Shaykh Abbas Virjee.

Syed Muntazar Abbas Naqvi (Islamabad, Pakistan) addresses majalis on the topic of “protection of Quran’ while Nisar Haider and Nadeem Sarwar (Karachi, Pakistan) recite Soz/Salam/Marsiya and nahay respectively at Muhammadi Trust, Syed Raza Haider at Idara-e-Jaferiya, Prof. Abdul Hakeem at Hyderi Streathem, Maulana Mirza Mohammad Ashfaq ((Lucknow, India) in Urdu and Syed Mehdi Modarassi (English) at Hujjat Imambargah Stanmore, Principal Jamia Ahle Bait New Delhi India Maulana Syed Mohammad Askari Zaidi at International Islamic Link Sudbury, Maulana Mirza Sadiq Hasan at Hussaini Mission Isleworth, Syed Iqrar Hussain Zaidi and Raees Jarchvi in East London and Zakira Shazia Naqvi (Leicester, England) addresses ladies majalis at Az-Zahra Centre Watford.

Majalis are also being held at Jafferia Islamic Center Manchester, Imambargha Northampton, Islamic Centre of England London, Haideri Islamic Center London, Ahlul Bayt Islamic Center London, Sakina Islamic Center and many other imambarghas and centers.
