‘Karbala – pain and victory’ held in Saudi Arabia By: Abdulali
AL-MABRAZ, Saudi Arabia: Marking the month of Moharram, Al-Yanabee Al-Hijriyah Forum organized a poetry evening at Husseiniyah Az-Zahraa (p) in Al-Mabraz city, Al-Ahsaa, eastern part of Saudi Arabia. The poetry evening titled ‘Karbala – pain and victory’ was held with the cooperation of cultural committee of the Husseiniyah on first Muharram, 10 February, attended by renowned poets and rich-taste-keeping audience.
Poets Al-Ostaz Jassem As-Sahih, Al-Ostaz Najy Al-Herz, Al-Ostaz Zaky As-Salem and many other offered poetic homage in the respected court of Al-Imam Abi Abdellah Al-Hussein (p) whose martyrdom objective was defense of religion and sheri’ah, and protection of human dignity. Poet Al-Ostaz Yahya Al-Abd-Allatif ran the evening. Topic of Zaky As-Salem’s poem was “tears on the grave of Hussein” while “O Ashour!” was the poem recited by Najy Al-Herz. END |
