TNFJ Azadari Cell warns govt on contacts with banned terrorist groups By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: An important meeting of Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya’s Central Muharram Committee Azadari Cell was held under the chairmanship of Secretary of the Committee Ala Haider which reviewed Muharramul Haram arrangements. Addressing the meeting, Ala Haider said Control Room of TNFJ Central Muharram Committee Azadari Cell has been set up since first of Muharram which will work till 8th Rabiul Awwal round-the-clock. Besides this, Control Rooms have also been formed in all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir, Northern Areas and on district level, which have been publicized through newspapers. He said these measures are aimed at getting possible problems being faced by Azadaran resolved by contacting the government and her administrative institutions under Ta’awanu alal birri wat taqwa. Also, the directions to fully follow the Code of Azadari released by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi have been issued to founders of majalis, license-holders, waezeen and zakireen. Ala Haider expressed his resolve that all makatib-e-fikr would prove through their deeds during Ayyam-e-Aza that they are united, we share our grieves and happiness, will pay homage to the grandson of holy Prophet (SAW) by observing his mourning in line with their own ideologies resulting in foiling every conspiracy of joint enemy. The TNFJ Muharram Committee Secretary regretted that Control Rooms have not been set up on government level from federal to provincial governments plus Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas in connection with Muharram and Azadari programs (that will remain in continuation till Rabiul Awwal 8), and if the Control Rooms were set up, neither these were made public nor anyone contacted us. He posed question what type of this democratic government is which has no contact with the real representatives of people while the Interior Minister was holding meeting with the head of terrorist organization that has been banned twice by the government. This is hypocrisy which provides food for thought for the whole nation, he added, urging President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to take severe notice of Interior Minister’s meeting with banned outfit head. Ala Haider asserted that we have no personal enmity for anyone rather keep the interests of nation and the country dear. He termed the meeting of Interior Minister with the head of that group which was outlawed by the President tantamount to sabotaging Anti-Terrorism Act. TNFJ Muharram Committee leader said if, God forbid, any unpleasant incident would take place, responsibility would go to the shoulders of the said minister who has direct interactions with banned organizations. He said newspapers float editorials that government claims are hollow for she keeps connections with outlawed outfits. He described government peace committees as mere favourite committees. He said a meeting of Tehreek’s all four Provincial Muharram Committees is being reconvened on the directives of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Hamid Moosavi aimed at discussing government behaviour and our future line of action. He warned that if the government would not change her policy, we reserve right to lay our strategy. He said peace could not be restored in the country unless the government and opposition make them disconnected from banned groups, condemn them and media stop giving them coverage. The meeting of TNFJ Central Muharram Committee Azadari Cell forcefully demanded from the government to avoid spreading harassment on the occasion of Muharramul Haram. Death and life is in Allah’s hand, if it has to come no one can stop it and vice-versa. He made clear that neither our forefathers ever were afraid nor would we, and that Azadari would be kept continue with more reverence and fervour. END |
