Oman: Hosayni commemoration going on

MUSQAT, Oman: None of the world part is spared of Hosayni commemoration which marks the unparallel sacrifices of Sebtor Rasul (s.w.) Al-Imam Al-Hosayn (a.s.) for defense of religion & sheri’ah, and protection of human dignity.

Series of day and night grand majales and mavakeb al-azaiyah, or the Hosayni mourning sittings and processions, are being held across Oman since the eve of advent of Moharram-ol Haram.

Speakers throw light in detail on the philosophy of Karbala, objective of Al-Imam Al-Hosayn (a.s.)’s qayam, and divine miracle that even after the passage of 1,400 years Hosayni commemoration is still fresh and intact despite tyrants’ threats to stop it.

Renowned dirge-chanters recite dirges at the majales and mavakeb paying rich homage to the martyrs of Karbala.

Speacil meals and drinks are served from the table of Al-Imam Al-Hosayn (a.s.) to the mourners.
